Project Status On December 16, 2005 the Hydros project received a letter stating that NASA will not fund the Hydros project through completion of the formulation phase. The Hydros project was requested to deliver a final report to NASA. It is anticipated that Hydros will be reproposed for a future flight opportunity.
Hydros Overview Hydros was to provide the first global view of the Earth's changing soil moisture and surface freeze/thaw conditions, enabling new scientific studies of global change and atmospheric predictability, and making new hydrologic applications possible.
